Doctrinal Statement

The Scriptures - We believe that the Bible is inerrant and infallible. It was given to us by God to be our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. It is perfectly preserved for us today in the King James Bible and its textual basis. The RVG is the version of the Bible we use in Spanish as it is the purest Spanish translation available. Psalms 12:6, 7

The Nature of God - We believe in the one true almighty God. He exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are one. He is the creator of the heaven and earth and is worthy of all possible honor. 1 John 5:7; John 1:1–3

The Nature of Man - We believe that man is depraved and completely incapable of saving himself. His rebellion against God from the time of the fall until today condemns man to eternally pay for his sins in the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15; Romans 3:23

Jesus Christ - We believe that the Son, Jesus Christ, is the one and only Savior of the world. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless life, and willingly paid for mankind’s sin by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven making it possible for man to be redeemed. John 14:6; 1 Timothy 3:16

The Salvation of Man - We believe that Jesus Christ can and will save all men who come to Him for redemption. Salvation was purchased through the blood of Jesus Christ and nothing more is needed. The Holy Spirit aids in leading a sinner to repentance so that they may put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 10:13; John 16:8

Eternal Security - We believe that man cannot receive salvation by good works nor can he keep salvation by good works. Once a man has passed from death to life through the blood of Jesus Christ he is eternally secure. John 10:28

The Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. His purpose is to convict man of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He helps to edify the saint, convert the sinner, and glorify the Savior. The Charismatic movement is a dangerous counterfeit to the true work of the Holy Spirit and we are opposed to it. John 16:7–14

The Local Church - We believe that a New Testament church is an assembly of born-again, scripturally baptized believers who assemble together for the purpose of worship, fellowship, service, evangelization, and communion. All believers have been commissioned to take the gospel into all the world. 1 Timothy 3:15; Matthew 28: 19, 20

Holiness - We believe that the believer is to keep himself from being spotted by the world by participating in ungodliness. All that he does should glorify the Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:31, James 1:27

The Return of Christ - We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come first prior to the Great Tribulation to rapture his saints. The dead in Christ will be raised and those living will be caught up to meet Him in the air. He will come again at the end of the tribulation to execute His wrath upon the ungodly and to establish His Millennial Reign. 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 19:11–16
